Welcome to the Nursery
I would like to give a warm welcome to all of our children, both our new children that have just started and the older 2nd year children.
This half term our topics are ‘Ourselves’ and ‘God’s wonderful world’. We offer many activities for the children to investigate, both indoor and outdoor throughout these topics. We also provide many learning opportunities to develop number and fine motor skills.
We encourage you to bring your child into the Nursery each morning to help them settle, and to help them write their name to sign in for the register. Please come and speak to us if you have any concerns or questions, we are always available to chat on either side of the day.
Please ensure your child is in school by 8:55. This is to make sure they settle into their day comfortably with their Nursery friends, and they do not miss their story group learning activities.
Each Monday we take the children to our school library. We provide a library book bag, and your child can borrow a book of their choosing for 1 week. If they return the book on the following Monday, they can borrow another. On Thursdays a coach associated with Manchester City comes and teaches the children PE. After this the children have ICT lessons with Mr Edmondson, our school computer specialist teacher. Look out for the children’s work on our school blog, as Mr Edmondson posts their work on there.
Your child does not require a school book bag or PE kit, but if you wanted to buy a school jumper / cardigan / fleece, you can do so using Parent Pay. If you feel that your child might need spare clothes in case of an accident, please feel free to leave a bag on their peg with them in.
Furthermore, on a morning we have snack time, if you would like them to have milk at this time please make the office aware so they are able to make the necessary arrangments.
Thank you for entrusting us with your child at the beginning of their education, we promise to do our very upmost to provide the best possible start in their school lives.
