Date: 2nd Feb 2022 @ 2:40pm
Reception class are showing excellent fine motor skills by using chopsticks! We are celebrating Chinese New Year by enjoying some delicious noodles, and learning about the traditions of this festival.
Year 1 celebrated Chinese New Year today. We started the day with a special assembly and a gift from Ms Ward. We read lots of stories and enjoyed hearing about the animals and the race. We made lanterns, fans and dancing dragons . What a busy day .
Yesr 5 enjoyed learning about the Chinese New Year this afternoon. We learnt about the traditions that take place on this special day. We are lucky enough to have 2 children, who joined us this year from Hong Kong, that could tell us all about the Chinese zodiac and what they do on new year to celebrate. We had fun in assembly with Ms Ward finding out our zodiac animal! We then made a Chinese lantern with some amazing designs.
Year 2 decorated and constructed their tiger models yesterday and also found time to make some lanterns as part of their Chinese New Year celebrations. Kung hei fat choy everyone
