School Day

Children should be in school every day and on time unless they are ill or have to be off because of unforeseen circumstances.  If you know beforehand that your child is going to be off please contact the school office either by telephone or email so we can let your child’s class teacher know.  If your child becomes ill please contact school on the first day of absence before 9.00am. The governors operate a, ‘first day absence’ telephone call. This means if home has not contacted school about an absence a call to home will be made before 9:30am. Our school attendance target is 98%. Your continued support is most appreciated.

School begins at 8.55am. The head of school is often on the playground from 8.45am to greet the children as they arrive. Please make every effort to ensure your child is early for school. This makes a happy and peaceful beginning to the day. Any pupil not in school by 9.00am will receive a late mark on the register.

School finishes at 3.15pm. Parents are asked to collect their children from the outside door of the classrooms. This will assist in the prompt and safe dismissal of all the children.

Parents are asked to park thoughtfully outside the school gates when they bring or collect their children.
