Dabate Mate competition

Year 5 are currently taking part in their first debate. Round 1 debate was whether schools should prioritise creative learning over academic attainment and our team were arguing against the motion. The children argued particularly well and narrowly lost against the other school. Round 2 is about to start.....

Our Year 6 debating team were in action this afternoon and were arguing against the proposition that we should be prioritising creativity over academic attainment in schools. It was a very close debate but the team at Armitage won out in the end.
