Decorations out of recyclable materials

Date: 28th May 2021 @ 1:02pm

What on earth are Year 6 up to ? They certainly look very industrious!

Over the last few weeks Year 6 have been working with Mrs Cullinan to make some decorations for our school grounds out of recyclable materials and what they have produced is really brilliant. There are lots of photos so will post them in groups so you can see each project from start to finish and the children responsible for each piece of artwork. First up we have the sunflower ?

Next up we have the snail ?, on all the artwork the children sanded the wood, drew on and painted the design and attached the bottle tops.

As well as showing off their creativity, this work also gave children the opportunity to work as a team, to resolve problems together and to make decisions on how they wanted their finished pieces to look. This time we have the poppy.
Next up is the daisy, how wonderful it is that once these children leave in July, they will leave us some beautiful pieces of artwork to remember them by.
