Meaning of Lent and Jesus

Children in year 4 have been exploring the meaning of Lent and Jesus' experiences in the wilderness. They have been re-enacting scripture and all the different emotions that Jesus himself went through while being tempted. As well as working on their Lenten promises and class display, children have been reflecting on their own lives and thinking about all the different things and people who could distract them. We are reminded of the importance of self control and self discipline if we are to reach our dreams and goals - living our true life to the full as a child of God.
