Powerful lesson about disability

Year 5 have been learning a powerful lesson this morning about disability and what it is like to live with a disability. We had a City coach in who talked to the class about the different types of disabilities and then they had a practical lesson doing some sports without the use of their legs and again without the use of their eyes. The children described the sports as 'challenging' 'frightening' and 'hard' when deprived of things they took for granted.
