Studying the rocks.

Year 3 have been studying the properties of different rocks. They dropped water on to them to see if they were permeable or impermeable. They put acid (vinegar) onto them to test for the presence of ancient sea creatures in limestone. The children scratched the rocks to see which rock was the hardest, and looked for tiny crystals in Igneous rocks.
