Remote Learning

In the uncertain times that we are currently living in, it is important that we are fully prepared for the possibility that we may have to have a full or partial closure of school depending on the local Covid-19 situation.

During this unprecedented time we would like to keep you informed about resources, remote learning opportunities and updates.  We will be using various platforms to do this:

1) Text messaging

2) Emails

3) Remote Learning Platforms

4) The school Website

There will also be instances where individual children will be self-isolating due to coming into contact with a positive case of Covid 19.

As a school we are producing detailed plans for remote education so that children will have access to a high quality education at home. As we put these plans together they will be put onto this page.

As new resources become available, we will upload them onto the website or our Remote Learning platforms.  Please remember that if you need to contact the school, please email admin@ourladys-pri.manchester.sch.uk.

Online Safety

As always, one of the most important things is safeguarding your children, especially online as sometimes they are using online technology independently.  Therefore, please have a look at the Top Ten Remote Learning Safety Tips for Parents and Children.

Thinkuknow

Thinkuknow is the Online Safety Program from the National Crime Agency.  They have introduced a set of activities to support children and parents to be safe online.  Please see the downloadble files for the activities that relate to your child.
